Mako Csapo, LCSW
Mako Csapo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, with a dedicated focus on helping couples build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. With over ten years of experience in the field of couples therapy, she specializes in utilizing evidence-based approaches, particularly the Gottman Method and the Developmental Model for Couples Therapy.
She is a fully certified Gottman Method Couples Therapist and a certified presenter of The Art and Science of Love Couples Workshop. She is one of the providers of the Center's Couples Intensive Therapy Retreats, a weekend program designed for one couple only to create significant change in a short period of time.
Her work with couples is enhanced by training and experience with attachment styles, developmental psychology, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, expressive arts and experiential therapies. She incorporates trauma-informed approaches into her work with couples and families including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR.
She recognizes that relationships are at the heart of our sense of well-being, resilience and security. She offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental space in which each partner in a couple can feel seen, heard and understood. She provides tools, techniques and insights which build confidence in navigating challenges in communication, conflict and intimacy.
